What are we looking for?

We are seeking a passionate Mining Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team. Your innovative leadership style will enable you to meet and exceed targets, whilst ensuring all mining activities are conducted in accordance with mine plans, HSEC, legislative and statutory requirements.

As a Mining Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and guidance to the Mining Operations team to ensure the safe and cost-effective removal of overburden and coal.

  • Delivering operational objectives by using available resources within the scope of the role and budget.

  • Driving a winning culture at Mangoola Coal.

  • Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance & workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Mangoola Coal values.

  • Promoting positive relationships with our stakeholders & community; and

  • Taking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.

To be successful in this role:

  • You will hold a current Open Cut Mining Engineering Manager Certificate of Competency (NSW).

  • You have extensive operational experience in an open cut environment.

  • You have proven experience in managing large teams in a complex environment.

  • You can demonstrate your ability to connect and engage with people.

  • You have a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.

  • You have the ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

  • You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.

  • You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.
