Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation.

We are currently looking for competent and experienced multi-skilled operators (with Trainer/Assessor skill) to fill multiple positions across our open cut site.

Reporting to the OCE, you will:

• Deliver high-quality training and competency assessments across a range of mobile mining equipment while providing on-the-job coaching and mentoring to operators at all experience levels

• Provide safe and efficient operation of heavy earthmoving equipment to meet mine production and organisational targets.

• Be comfortable performing the full range of mining tasks in a dynamic and changing environment with a focus on continuous improvement.

About you:

• Equipment experience – Excavator (>200T), Dozer, Grader, Loader, Water Truck and/or Haul Truck Operator.

• Current Training & Assessing qualification (TAE40122 or equivalent)

• Demonstrated experience conducting operator training and assessments

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Understanding of and commitment to risk management and safe work practices.

• Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
