What are we looking for?

We are currently seeking self-motivated Heavy Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join our winning team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will see you work within a highly experienced maintenance team, that is focused on achieving maximised availability, by completing preventative and corrective maintenance. The positions are permanent full time, working a lifestyle roster. We offer an attractive remuneration package including performance-based bonuses. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.

As a Heavy Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing mechanical maintenance on a diverse range of equipment, including:

  • Liebherr Excavators (9400, 996B)

  • Caterpillar Dozers (D10, D11)

  • Caterpillar Mechanical Haul Trucks (789, 793)

  • Letourneau Loaders (L1850)

  • Other ancillary fleet

  • Conducting fault diagnosis and executing repairs within cost and time parameters.

  • Collaborating with team members to achieve maintenance objectives and improve equipment reliability

  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and contributing to a culture of safety.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Heavy Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate (essential).

  • Experience in the mining industry, particularly with heavy mobile equipment (essential).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management.

  • A willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
