We are seeking an experienced project leader to join our Technologies Team in Brisbane and drive the delivery of modular-scale concentrator plants. You will own end-to-end delivery of modular flotation concentrator projects of up to 1,000,000 t/y ore throughput and be the single point of accountability from feasibility through to commissioning and ramp-up.

You will coordinate metallurgy, EPC/EPCM and OEM scopes, work with clients on capital and scope trade-offs at PFS and FS stages, and hold technical ownership of flowsheet and throughput decisions through to first production.

Whilst modular concentrator delivery will be the primary focus of the role there will be opportunities for additional exposure to due diligence and innovation. You will report directly to the Director of Technologies. The role will include travel, both domestic and international.

You will be responsible for:

Project delivery under the Glencore Technology governance processes for the delivery and commissioning periods of the plants.
Holding technical ownership of flowsheet and throughput decisions through to first production
Working with internal stakeholders, external suppliers and subcontractors
Building and maintaining productive client relationships
Achieving the agreed project parameters of safety, cost, quality, schedule and margin
Supporting the Growth and Sales teams to evaluate the viability of projects and clients
Supporting the development, marketing and sales of modular concentrator projects
Leading, coaching and developing more junior members of the team
Preparing and presenting to key stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A tertiary qualification in Engineering, preferably in metallurgical, mineral processing or chemical engineering
At least 10 years' experience in project delivery, including at least 5 years in the mineral processing industry, with a demonstrated record of delivering projects on time and on budget
Experience in flotation or concentrator projects, including commissioning and ramp-up
Experience working within an EPC/EPCM or OEM project delivery environment will be highly regarded
The ability to manage unexpected delays, risks and project change requests ensuring a successful delivery of the project on time.
Strong relationship building capacity both internally and externally.
Good communication and negotiation
A strong customer focus and high attention to detail
Supervisory experience leading a team of engineering, metallurgical, design and procurement professionals
