We are seeking a Legal Counsel – Contracts to join our legal team, providing commercial legal advice and contract management support across our global technology business. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation through to contract management, risk mitigation, and ongoing legal support to deliver commercially sound outcomes. The Legal Counsel – Contracts will report to the Senior Legal Counsel and will be engaged on a full-time basis.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Drafting and negotiating Confidentiality Agreements, Supply and Sale Agreements, Licences, Framework Agreements, Purchase Orders, and other commercial contracts.
  • Advising on Intellectual Property issues and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide strategic legal advice and support.
  • Managing contractual risks and ensuring agreements align with organisational objectives.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments and industry standards.

 

To thrive in this roll you will have:

  • A degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) and admission as a solicitor in Australia or qualifications in Business, Finance or equivalent with contract management experience.
  • An unrestricted practising certificate (if applying as a lawyer).
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including Confidentiality Agreements, Intellectual Property issues, Supply and Sale Agreements, Licences, and Framework Agreements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
