The PMO Project Engineer will provide a range of project engineering, controls, estimating, project management functions, systems management, and maintenance that the Project Management Office (PMO) undertakes for the Glencore Technology business. The Project Engineer will report to the Project Management Office Manager and will be engaged on a full time fixed-term basis
You will be responsible for:
- Producing cost estimates for services or equipment sold,
- Management of Request for Information (RFI) process related to estimating functions
- Assisting in generating reports used to track the performance of projects on a regular basis.
- The manipulation of data (e.g. cost, schedule, risks and related project and system data) used in controlling projects and business performance.
- The ability to work with and understand project financials, resource management, risk management, and other elements of overall project monitoring and control.
- Providing support to single or multiple projects depending on the needs at the time.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience Project Engineer in an engineering design or equipment delivery office.
- The ability to develop and maintain schedules.
- Experience with Tendering, Bid Evaluation and Contract Conformance.
- Experience estimating costs, producing a budget and controlling forecasts and actual spend against budget.
- Skilled in communicating with stakeholders and managing their expectations.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills is highly advantageous.
