We are seeking a Procurement & Logistics Officer to join our team in Brisbane on a full-time basis. In this role you will manage the quote to cash cycle for sales of parts of our smelting, refining and mineral processing technologies supported globally, for our Capital Projects business and aftermarket business. This role will report to the AssetCare Supervisor. This position will be residentially based in Brisbane on a 12-month contract to meet growing project demands for our organisation. There is scope for a potential permanent opportunity at the end of this engagement.

You will be responsible for:

  • Raise and manage quotes to customers (internal and external)
  • Parts interpretation and identification
  • Manage the sales order process for both Projects and Aftermarket activities (entry of orders, expediting, shipping, invoicing)
  • Procurement of goods and services for Projects and Aftermarket activities at the best value
  • Prepare purchase orders and follow up on progress of orders
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers
  • Organise transport for domestic and international freight
  • Prepare import/export documentation
  • Assist with identification, packing and labelling of equipment before sending to site
  • Prepare and manage AR invoicing to the customers that you have responsibility for

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in purchasing, international freight and logistics
  • Experience with controlling multiple inputs, in terms of customer and supplier requirements to achieve success against the schedule
  • Intermediate knowledge of excel
  • Experience working with an ERP system – SAP (MM and SD) will be advantageous
