We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Brisbane team. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will act as the single point of contact for managing major vendor packages through preliminary engineering, detailed design, procurement, fabrication, QA/QC, testing, and delivery to site.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead and manage package engineering projects across design, procurement, fabrication, testing, and installation.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, process and controls teams to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Own and manage the Vendor Data Schedule.
  • Manage technical queries with vendors and support design reviews.
  • Interface with EPCM contractors during execution phases.
  • Monitor schedules, costs, change management and risk management for package scopes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and construction teams to ensure smooth delivery and installation.
  • Undertake occasional international travel to vendor premises.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years’ experience in minerals processing, oil & gas, EPCM, or other heavy industries.
  • Strong knowledge of packaged systems design, equipment integration, and vendor coordination.
  • Experience with EPC contracts (highly regarded).
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary and transglobal teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning ability.
