General Engineering Superintendent (GES) – D1 Eastern Chrome Mines Limpopo, South Africa Ref.No. ECM3146 Internal/External Advert x3 Vacancy  

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Provision of both technical and business process support to the Maintenance and Operations Departments
• Ensure the Effective and Efficient execution of the Work Management Process
• Continuously improve equipment reliability including project planning and delivery of reliability improvement projects
• Conduct technical and process audits around maintenance
• People Management
• Ensure the effective administration of necessary system/s
• Support the overall business management of the Engineering Department
• Compliance with Glencore Ferro Alloys and Eastern Mines Standards and Procedures

About you:

• N3 Certificate (Full Four Subjects, one being theory)
• Trade Test Certificate – Electrical OR Mechanical trades
• Five (5) years’ experience as an Engineering Coordinator in the mining environment
• Computer literate (MS Office, Project and SAP)
• Knowledge of PLC’s and ability to read P&ID’s
• Knowledge and experience of underground TMM (LHD’s, Drills, Bolters, LDV and UV’s) or
• Knowledge and experience of electrical components (MV and HT Switching)
