Artisan Coordinator (Engineering) Jnr

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Planning, Organizing, Leading & controlling of mechanical maintenance duties on amongst others underground conveyor belts installation, dewatering pumping system, chairlifts, refuge chambers.
• Ensure that belt constructions (new and extensions) are done safely and completed in time
• Supervising and leading maintenance teams that will be allocated to your area of responsibility,
• Providing an effective maintenance service in the most cost-effective manner which may include the provision of project management support to the GES.
• Ensure availability of resources to the maintenance teams,
• Ensuring all tasks are conducted according to Glencore safety standards and procedures,
• Timeous completion of projects within the allocated budget,
• Meeting production targets, compliance with the company’s HSEC system is essential,
• Ensuring implementation of Management decisions, legal requirements, and company standards/policies

About you:

• Grade 12
• Full N3 Certificate including relevant trade theory
• Relevant Trade Certificate as Artisan (Boilermaker/Fitter)
• Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) / SETA statement of results / Learnership agreement to support the trade
• 5 years technical experience working in an underground environment
• Medically fit to work on surface and underground
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport
