In this role you will be responsible for:
- Reporting to the General Engineering Supervisor.
- Account for planning, coordinating, leading, and controlling resources to ensure safe and optimum production through quality maintenance and application of engineering practices.
- Conduct daily maintenance tasks (scheduled and unscheduled), inspections and reporting on daily section performance.
- Assisting Artisans with installations, repairs, and maintenance of equipment according to standards.
- Production targets, compliance with company’s HSEC system is essential.
- Compliance to the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirements.
- Ensuring implementation of Management decisions, legal requirements, and company standards/policies.
About you:
- Grade 12
- N2 (Full four subjects one being theory)
- Relevant Trade Certificate (Boilermaker/Fitter/Electrical)
- Five (5) years technical experience post trade
- Medically fit to work underground and surface
- Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
- Computer literacy (MS Office Suite, SAP)
- Valid driver’s license
