Coordinator (Metallurgical) Jnr

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Reporting to the Superintendent (Metallurgical)
• Safe and efficient operation of the PGMX Flotation and FCR plant (Thickeners, Cyclones, SMD mills, Magnetic separation, Tailings Storage Facilities and Filter Press)
• Managing the production team and ensuring compliance to health and safety protocols
• Continuously optimise and improve the plant processes and systems
• Planning and executing plant metallurgical equipment maintenance and control plant process budget
• Oversee the effective operation of the plant within set parameters
• Providing strong leadership by planning, organising, and controlling all activities in the plant
• Assisting management with identifying the gaps in the current plant procedures and operating processes
• Ensuring production targets are communicated to personnel and plans are in place to meet set targets
• Monitoring compliance on dispatching of final product and final product stockpile management
• Performing standby duties
• Monitoring production recovery and quality of final product produced daily and perform necessary changes

About you:

• National Diploma in Metallurgical / Chemical Engineering
• Three (3) years working experience in a Supervisory role, PGMX Metal Accounting, process control for floatation plants or similar operation.
• Strong leadership and people skills with proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, SAP Production Module and Coupa P2P
