Rhovan - Controller Permit

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Working according to safe works practices.
• Assisting production supervisor in completion of permits to work, risk assessments and job cards.
• To work as a Permit Controller in the Concentrate Plant.
• Verifying contents of JSAs then issue Work Permits as per Rhovan Work Permit Protocol
• Assist and coach teams in completing JSAs
• Scanning, filing and submitting Safety documents for the Department
• Scrutinizing and reporting on SI/PTO quality and effectiveness
• Conducting Ad Hoc inspections in the Plant and report on findings
• Conducting PTOs, SI’s as and when required
• Advising Head of Department on Safety issues
• Updating the SI and PTO spreadsheet on Shared folder (as and when received) This information is for the Department leading indicators report
• Assisting in the printing of Departmental logbooks/Check sheets as and when requested
• Compiling a leading Indicator report for HOD (after each Month end)
• Coaching and assisting Safety reps
• Helping print Safety Bulletins, Topics, Communications, Compliance inspections, etc for briefing to teams
• Compiling SWPs and/or Procedures with help from Supervisory team members at Concentrate

About you:

• Grade 12
• Medically fit.
• Must have good knowledge on plant and process operation.
• Must have good knowledge of Glencore HSEQ policies, procedures and systems.
• Must have experience in a process plant and must be safety orientated.
• Be able to write and communicate in English
• Ability to be autonomous
