The Role

This role is a member of a hardworking, proactive and committed team who are responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all Murrin Murrin Operations salaries.

You will be responsible for:
  • Liaise with the HR Department and Area Administrators to ensure personnel are correctly established and that authorised changes in employment and roster details are updated and accurate;
  • Ensure payroll costing data is correctly processed;
  • Reconcile and balance all payroll-related general ledger accounts;
  • Process workers’ compensation claims and reconcile workers’ compensation paid against insurance company’s reimbursement;
  • Prepare information and make payment for PAYG Tax, Payroll Tax, Child Support and other employee deductions within compliance dates;
  • Process payments for Superannuation and maintain employee details in EOL Superannuation reporting system;
  • Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures. 

About You

This role would suit a process driven person with high attention to detail. You will have:
  • At least 7 years’ payroll experience in both manual and computerised payroll systems (preferably Oracle EBS) and preferably within the mineral resource industry;
  • Previous experience in running payroll in excess of 750 employees;
  • High attention to detail with strong orientation for accuracy and a demonstrated record of meeting deadlines;
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications;
  • A working knowledge and understanding of Superannuation Guarantee, PAYG legislation and rules governing Salary Sacrifice arrangements;
  • Ability to interpret Awards and Agreements.
