About the role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Purchasing, the Lead, Contracts is responsible for sourcing and on-site execution, ensuring that contracts, suppliers, and logistics activities translate into safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. You will act as the senior point of contact for site stakeholders and critical suppliers.

This person also has excellent collaboration and communication skills and can readily connect with internal and external stakeholders to deliver aligned solutions. We are looking for someone who has a continuous improvement mindset and can identify improvements to business processes and practices. Supply Chain Commercial and Contractual mastery and advanced negotiation skills are essential to the role.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant EVR stakeholders as well as relationships with key external suppliers
- Develop the Site Workplan to support the site in execution and management of all Sourcing requirements
- Perform end to end Sourcing events; Planning, Sourcing and Contracting
- Support the coaching and mentoring of Buyer, Contract Specialists and/or Contract Administrators
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure governance and controls in Supplier contracts against all Company policies and processes
- Support the business in making Commercially Smart decisions
- Negotiate contract general conditions and commercial details while maintaining positive supplier relationships
- Collaborate with Category Leads and Contract Specialists on supplier performance reviews
- Identify, implement, and report on opportunities to improve the cost and performance of suppliers
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance to determine amendments, extensions, and compliance to contractual obligations
- Implement effective organizational change to ensure contract modifications are accurately evaluated, detailed, and approved
- Resolve issues that arise between suppliers and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- Degree, diploma, certificate, or designation, such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or a similar program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum ten years of relevant experience, including experience with Project Contract management, bidding and contract execution
- Excellent digital literacy and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite®
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of and experience working in the industrial engineering, mining and construction industry
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
