About the role:  

Reporting to the Application Training Lead, the Applications Trainer is responsible for delivering training to end users in the organization about how to use various types of software programs efficiently and effectively in support of business objectives. This individual is responsible for designing, delivering, and improving in-house applications training programs. This role is considered to be a change agent for EVR and will be based out of any site in the valley. 

To be successful, we are looking for someone with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Someone who has the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization, has strong customer service orientation, a high level of initiative and the ability to work productively with nominal supervision.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies 
  • Create, administer, analyze, and report on end user needs assessments and skills assessments 
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs and individual classes for software applications 
  • Review training materials and documentation as well as keeping them up to date 
  • Create training videos to support Competency Based training model 
  • Communicate software problems and issues to software development and support teams 
  • Track training of participants in the training database 
  • Provide Application support as required 

Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite® 
  • Knowledge of trends in computer technology relating to software 
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent 
  • Experience with staff development would be an asset 
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
