About the role:  
 
Reporting to the Supervisor, Telemetry Systems, the Senior Analyst is responsible for assisting a high performing team to deliver and maintain leading edge digital mining technology. These technologies include autonomous equipment, rugged mobile computers, end-to-end sensorization of heavy equipment, and asset health systems that optimize fleet productivity and availability via real-time tracking and monitoring.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies  
  • Maintain and troubleshoot OT Telemetry systems, including servers, workstations, hardware platforms, Sensors, Canbus industrial control networks 
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain OT cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST, IEC 62443, and internal corporate standards. Support internal and external audits and broader compliance initiatives 
  • Lead and contribute to OT-related projects such as system upgrades, network segmentation, and new technology integration. Provide technical OT support for greenfield and brownfield capital projects 
  • Monitor OT system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements to enhance system reliability, availability, and efficiency 
  • Work closely with IT, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of OT systems with business goals 
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, system architecture diagrams, and system baselines/metrics. Promote adherence to OT standards and best practices 
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for system implementation, support, and upgrades. Review and validate technical deliverables 
  • Lead OT incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions. Participate in a rotational on-call schedule supporting 24/7 mining operations 
  • Research and evaluate emerging OT technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve system performance, security, and scalability 
  • Mentor junior analysts and technicians and deliver targeted training to operations and maintenance teams on OT systems, procedures, and cybersecurity best practices 
  • Oversee OT asset lifecycle management, including hardware/software obsolescence planning, version control, upgrades, and system decommissioning 
  • Participate in and enforce structured change management processes for OT systems to ensure minimal disruption and traceability

Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience or certifications may be considered. Minimum five years of relevant OT/IT experience required 
  • 5+ years in a technical analyst, preferably within the mining or heavy industrial sector, with hands-on expertise in Telemetry Systems 
  • Proficient in interpreting and developing documentation such as process flow diagrams, system/network architecture diagrams, and functional design specifications 
  • Solid understanding of industrial control system (ICS) security principles, version/source control, electrical and instrumentation systems, computer networking, and database architecture 
  • Proven expertise troubleshooting and supporting windows operating systems, domain/Active Directory, virtualization, databases/SQL, and computer and networking fundamentals 
  • Strong process documentation and reporting capabilities 
  • Strong project and program management skills with a solid foundation in business analysis methodologies, particularly in technical or OT environments 
  • Ability to travel as necessary to support EVR’s mining operations. 
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent 
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
