In this role you will be responsible for:

Supervise all activities relating sample receiving, preparation, screening analysis and moisture determination
Ensure all sample preparation complies with the ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 standards
Maintain discipline amongst the sub-ordinates.
Reporting samples preparation results on LIMS
General housekeeping of the sample preparation area and sample storeroom
Adhere to health, safety, environment, community, and housekeeping standards.
Inspect all sample preparation equipment’s for defects.
Monitor & reporting laboratory stock levels & issuing of PPE.
Enforce and comply with SANAS ISO/IEC 17025:2005

About you:

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
ND Analytical Chemistry will be advantageous
Computer literacy including MS Office, SAP, LIMS and MES
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Ferro-chrome Smelter laboratory environment.
Knowledge of SANAS ISO/IEC 17025:2017
Experience in sample preparation and chemical analysis
Good knowledge of HSEC systems
