About the role:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Senior Lead, Training and Development is accountable for the strategic oversight, coordination, and continuous improvement of the Greenhills Operation training programs. This role provides leadership and direction to Mine Operations, Maintenance, and Processing Training Coordinators, ensuring training systems are effective, standardized, and aligned with operational and safety priorities.

The Senior Lead plays a critical role in building workforce capability by establishing high-quality, competency-based training programs that drive safety, productivity, and employee development. This position also acts as a key liaison with the broader EVR training team to support the development and implementation of company-wide standards, best practices, and consistent training outcomes across all sites. We are seeking a collaborative and influential leader with strong communication skills and a passion for developing others. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.

In this role you will:

  • Champion and model adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of site-wide training and development programs
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to the departmental training teams
  • Ensure consistent application of training standards, systems, and competency frameworks across all departments
  • Build and deliver proficiency-based training programs derived from safe work procedures and site training requirements including simulator, classroom work, and field work
  • Explore and implement innovative and efficient methods of employee instruction and coaching
  • Develop effective and accurate evaluation methods to assess employee safety and productivity
  • Work with departments to develop talent, versatility, and monitor the number of trained employees
  • Support the development and rollout of standardized training materials, documentation, and processes across all sites

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years practical experience in an industrial environment
  • Minimum two years demonstrated ability administrating effective and consistent training to employees and new hires
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience, ideally within a training or operational setting Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across functions to drive alignment, consistency, and results
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to analyse and present training data; experience with Power BI to support reporting and insights is an asset
  • Experience developing competency-based training systems and evaluation methods is considered an asset
  • Strong digital literacy, including experience with training systems, documentation, and presentation tools Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
