About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Engineer Supervisor, Projects, the Project Engineer or EIT leads projects from scoping and planning through execution, supporting safe and efficient delivery at site. This role works closely with colleagues across technical services, operations, and external contractors to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong communication skills, proven leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. For someone who can build effective relationships across teams and departments.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules across the portfolio
- Lead and support project transitions into operations, including readiness planning, commissioning, and start-up
- Execute mining, plant, environmental, and tailings projects in coordination with contractors and internal departments
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure alignment and engagement throughout the project lifecycle
- Gather and analyze information to support sound decision-making and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience and certification)
- Registered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
- Minimum of three years of project experience, including design, construction, and commissioning
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience in project frameworks, cost control, team alignment, and contractor coordination is an asset
- Experience in mining or heavy industry is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
