About McArthur River Mine

 

Located in the Gulf of Carpentaria — 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola — MRM is a world-class open-cut zinc-lead-silver operation with an approved mine life through to 2038. From here, product is transported to the Bing Bong loading facility and shipped globally, contributing to essential commodities used in mobility, infrastructure and communications worldwide.

 

The Role

 

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Officer to be the operational backbone of our CSP team. Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Stakeholder Engagement and the Social Performance Superintendent, you will be trusted with compliance reporting, community engagement logistics and the stakeholder relationships that sustain our social license to operate.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the CSP team and Senior Leadership Team
  • Coordinate departmental compliance requirements, reporting obligations and records management
  • Manage travel, accommodation and logistical arrangements, including flight bookings and itineraries
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of community events, meetings and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Prepare and distribute communications content, including digital and social media communications
  • Take accurate meeting minutes, record actions and ensure timely distribution and follow-up
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the team in achieving key business objectives, KPIs and community engagement outcomes

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Certificate IV in Business Administration or a related qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in an administration, office support or coordination role
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience coordinating travel, meetings, events and stakeholder engagements
  • Experience managing social media or communication platforms is desirable
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
