Graduate Community & Social Performance | McArthur River Mine | Northern Territory
Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class Zinc-Lead operation with a long mine life. Located in the Gulf of Carpentaria, 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola, MRM produces and processes Zinc, Lead and Silver from open cut mining operations. Product is transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped globally, supporting essential infrastructure, mobility, and communication industries.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across community engagement, stakeholder relations, communications, and social performance within the mining industry. You will gain practical capability and establish a strong foundation for a rewarding career in community relations and social performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of community engagement and social performance initiatives.
- Assist with planning and coordinating internal and external events
- Develop engaging internal and external communications, including newsletters, social media content, stakeholder updates, fact sheets, and presentation materials.
- Maintain accurate records and data within reporting and management systems.
- Provide project coordination support for Community & Social Performance programs
- Assist with reporting, presentations, governance documentation, and other business reporting requirements.
- Build positive relationships with community members and stakeholders through respectful, culturally appropriate engagement
- Assist with photography, videography, and digital content creation to showcase site activities, community programs, and events.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Community & Social Performance
About You
- A bachelor's degree in Communications, Project Management, Community Development, Social Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred. We also welcome applications from candidates with a relevant diploma who are currently working towards a bachelor's degree in one of these fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems, databases, and reporting platforms.
- A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in working with diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Professionalism, cultural awareness, sound judgement, and a respectful approach to engagement.
- A willingness to live and work in a regional or remote environment
