About the role

No two days are the same in this hands-on role. You'll be responsible for maintaining site facilities to a high standard while supporting a busy industrial laundry operation that processes thousands of PPE items each shift.

Working within a supportive team environment, you'll operate industrial equipment, contribute to site housekeeping activities and help ensure employees have clean, compliant PPE ready for work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in delivering quality work, and thrives in a practical, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Clean facilities, equipment and designated work areas while maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Collect, sort, launder and return up to 4,500 items of PPE per shift in accordance with required standards.
  • Safely operate industrial washing machines, dryers and associated laundry equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Facilities Services team to achieve daily operational targets and service requirements.
  • Spot for and, where appropriately licensed and authorised, operate mobile equipment safely within the work area.
  • Complete physically demanding and repetitive tasks, including frequent standing, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of loads up to 30kg.
  • Identify and report equipment, facility and maintenance issues promptly to the Facilities Supervisor.
  • Complete all assigned duties in a safe, efficient and timely manner, maintaining a strong focus on workplace health and safety.

Required Experience

Previous experience in commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, laundry services, facilities services or a similar operational environment will be highly regarded, although it is not essential. The successful candidate will bring a strong work ethic, sound safety awareness and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience working with industrial equipment, PPE or within a mining or heavy industrial environment would be advantageous. Strong organisational and time management skills are important, as the role involves managing significant daily workloads while maintaining accuracy, quality and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current manual driver's licence.
  • Current Forklift or MR licence, or the ability and willingness to obtain one (we will assist you with this)
  • Previous cleaning, laundry, facilities or industrial services experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety (OH&S) requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling loads up to 30kg.
  • Strong communication, customer service, time management and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
