We are looking for a motivated and energetic individual who is interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources through a hands-on traineeship/cadetship.
Considering a Cadet or Traineeship with Glencore Metals offers front line exposure to HR activities while completing formal qualifications that will providing a strong foundation for career development through mentoring, structured learning, and practical site experience.
What you’ll do
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in mining and a desire to pursue a career in Business or Human Resources, with a willingness to learn and a commitment to safety and professional development. They will demonstrate good communication, teamwork and problem solving skills, basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to act with discretion and integrity. Previous mining experience and familiarity with mine design software are desirable.

What you’ll do
- Support the HR team with day-to-day tasks including data entry for payroll, filing, and record keeping
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
- Help with administration related to performance reviews and other HR processes
- Provide general support to HR Advisors and collaborate with operational personnel
- Learn practical HR skills and gain an understanding of the site’s workforce and culture
- Practical, on-site HR experience across multiple functions
- Formal qualifications or support to complete qualifications for individuals currently enrolled
- Mentoring and structured learning to support skills development and training
- Exposure to payroll, recruitment, performance management and employee lifecycle processes
