The Role
The Accommodation team is seeking a qualified candidate to join us as an Accommodation Coordinator on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in Mount Isa. This residential position operates on a day shift roster of 5 days on / 2 days off and 4 days on / 3 days off. The successful applicant will report directly to the Supervisor – Accommodation.
Key responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day operations of the Accommodation Department, including the coordination and management of all accommodation bookings and room allocations.
This role combines administration with active hands on site responsibilities including, maintenance reporting, conducting inspections, setting up and preparing all company owned accommodation, completing on site Cleaning Audits
Oversee and manage site-wide cleaning services, ensuring contractual obligations, service standards, and performance requirements are consistently met.
Operate effectively in a busy, operational environment with a strong focus on customer service
Ability to manage a variety of tasks concurrently achieving desired results within specified strict time frames
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous accommodation bookings and guest liaison experience or Property Management Experience would be highly regarded
- Strong administration and co-ordination skills with excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to be out on site and support operational requirements
- Excellent time management skills, a flexible attitude and sound work ethic
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to work well with people
- Sound understanding of work place OH&S and encouraging and insisting a safe working environment
- A current manual drivers licence (not essential)
- S1,S2,S3 preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment or with minimal supervision
- Adaptable to changing work situations, with the ability to take initiative when required
- Able to get out and about and step in where required
