About the role:  
 
Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance, the Senior Maintenance Lead is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives through maintenance and environmental practices, mentoring shop and field supervisors, and assisting with break-in prioritizations.  
 
To be successful, we are looking for someone with outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, who has proven abilities to build and maintain employee-relations. The ability to mentor and provide advice and feedback to cross-functional teams and teams of professionals would be critical for success. This person would also have strong abilities to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies  

  • Manage maintenance project execution; ensuring project planning and execution standards are maintained  

  • Liaison with the Environmental group to ensure all environmental policy’s, standards are met throughout the maintenance department  

  • Mentor and coach supervisors, ensure development plans are implemented and sustained  

  • Ensure compliance to key performance indicators are met around costs, equipment performance and safety/environmental standards  

  • Act as the key contact between maintenance areas, as well as other site departments  

  • Collaborate with scheduling, planning, and supply chain groups to ensure deliverables from supporting groups are met  

  • Advise on the work priority, requirements, risks, and impacts of maintenance work  

  • Provide major equipment outage and servicing recommendations  

  • Ensure compliance to site procedures, and occupational health and safety standards  

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant technical field, and a valid trade certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience  

  • Minimum seven years of direct supervisor experience  

  • Excellent digital literacy in the Microsoft Office Suite®  

  • Supervisory experience in a mobile mine maintenance environment would be an asset  

  • Experience in material acquisition, planning, and scheduling would be an asset

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent 

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
