The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Personal Assistant & Administration Lead – General Manager Mining at George Fisher Mine. This role provides high-level executive support to the General Manager, enabling effective decision-making, operational rhythm, and leadership impact across the site.
In addition to overseeing general administration and leading a team of Administration Assistants, the role plays a critical part in shaping professional standards, executive communication quality, and a psychologically safe and high-performing work environment.
This role is offered on a residential basis with a lifestyle roster of 5:2, 4:3.

The Role

In addition to overseeing general administration and leading a team of Administration Assistants, the role plays a critical part in shaping professional standards, executive communication quality, and a psychologically safe and high-performing work environment.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Providing high-level executive support to the General Manager, including complex calendar management, prioritisation, and meeting coordination
- Producing high-quality executive presentations, reports, and site communications, with an excellent working knowledge of PowerPoint and the ability to tailor messaging for senior leadership, workforce, and external stakeholders
- Translating complex operational, financial, and strategic information into clear, concise, and professional executive-level material
- Leading and developing a small team of Administration Assistants, setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and fostering a respectful and inclusive team culture
- Actively contributing to positive cultural change, supporting leadership behaviours that enhance trust, openness, and collaboration across the site
- Supporting and reinforcing a psychologically safe work environment, where people feel comfortable to speak up, ask questions, and raise issues without fear of negative consequences
- Booking and coordinating end-to-end domestic travel for the mine leadership team, including detailed itineraries
- Liaising professionally with internal stakeholders, senior leaders, and external parties
- Reviewing and collating financial and operational data to support management reporting and decision-making
- Planning and coordinating executive and visitor site visits, ensuring safety and compliance protocols are met
- Driving continuous improvement and cost efficiencies across executive and administration support functions
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of employee, leadership, and community events
- Providing high-level administrative support to the wider mine leadership team as required
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree (Business Administration, HR, Finance, or similar) is not mandatory but is highly desirable
- Advanced Microsoft Office capability, with demonstrated strength in PowerPoint and the ability to build clear, visually professional executive presentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong judgement and discretion
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capability
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with senior leaders and teams
- A genuine interest in culture, leadership effectiveness, and psychological safety, and the confidence to positively influence ways of working
- A current manual driver’s licence
- Experience with SAP, Coupa, Concur and Bsafe systems (advantageous; training provided)
