The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Personal Assistant | General Manager for GFM Mining. In this role, you will provide high-level support to the General Manager, ensuring smooth daily operations and enabling effective decision-making. You will oversee general administration tasks and lead a team of Administration Assistants who provide support the mine leadership team.
This role is offered with a lifestyle roster of 5-2, 4-3 and is based residentially.
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Assisting and supporting the General Manager with administerial functions including calendar management and meeting scheduling
- Producing site communications, reports and presentations tailored to varying audiences
- Booking end-to-end domestic travel for the mine leadership team, including drafting itineraries
- Leading a small team of Administrators to perform their duties to a high standard
- Liaising with staff and external customers providing professional and timely responses
- Review of financial data including collation and analysis of statistics for management reports
- Planning and overseeing executive and visitor site visits ensuring safety and compliance protocols are met
- Driving cost-efficiencies and continuous improvement by implementing smarter, more effective ways of working across executive support functions
- Assist with the planning and delivery of employee events, leadership functions and community events and;
- Providing high level administrational support to the wider mine leadership team
The successful candidates will have:
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree (Business Administration, HR, Finance, or similar) is not mandatory but is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Office)
- High level attention to detail and confidentiality
- A high degree of motivation and initiative
- The ability to problem solve and able to work both in a team environment and independently
- Current manual drivers licence and
- Knowledge of the SAP, Coupa, Concur and Bsafe systems would be an advantage, however training will be provided
