The Role
We are seeking a motivated and engaging Engineering Superintendent to lead a highly capable team and deliver cost-effective asset performance, through execution of asset health assessment, maintenance engineering, planning, scheduling and project executions.
This role represents a fantastic opportunity to leverage your people leadership skills and technical knowledge, to not only deliver best-in-class engineering outcomes, but also fostering an inclusive and supportive culture to positively develop your team.
The scope of work is as challenging as it is diverse. Success in this role will be contingent upon the effective engagement of and positive influence over key stakeholders, at all organisational levels.

Your key responsibilities include:
- Be a visible safety leader onsite through role modelling of safe work behaviours and establish a group culture focused on building employee capability to support strategic objectives.
- Development, continuous optimisation and monitoring of the site asset management strategies for fixed and mobile assets maintenance planning.
- Leading, developing and coaching a multi-disciplined team of professionals.
- Identifying and managing asset risk, ensuring the right work is completed to maintain Engineering targets.
- Drive the maintenance planning of assets in collaboration with Mine Planning functions to ensure maintenance is performed at required intervals in line with a best practice asset management strategy.
- Safe and successful delivery of capital and asset improvement projects for fixed and mobile assets to ensure operational objectives can be met.
- Build and maintain sustainable stakeholder relationships to improve site asset availability.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years in Engineering, Project Delivery or Maintenance Engineering
- 3+ years Underground Mining Experience
- Experience in computerised Maintenance systems, Asset Management Principles, process Optimisation and Atomisation
- Be a passionate people leader, able to develop, motivate and mentor team members
- Have Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead through influence
- Have highly developed problem-solving abilities, in complex delivery environments
- Strong Finance Management and Analytical Skills Such as Budgeting and Long term forecasting
