Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Certified Welder to join our mobile maintenance team (U/G). The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components using a variety of welding techniques and equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship and workplace safety standards.

The Certified Welder will work with materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel in both shop and field environments. Candidates should possess valid welding certifications, hands-on experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes, and the ability to operate welding tools and related machinery efficiently. Key responsibilities include inspecting completed welds for accuracy and quality, performing routine equipment maintenance, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable of working in demanding environments, and committed to producing durable, precise welds that meet industry and company standards.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a team player who possesses:

  • CWB All-position ticket in SMAW and GMAW or FCAW;
  • Knowledge and experience in fitting, and use of arc-air, oxy/acet cutting tools.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have dual tickets in welding and millwrighting.
  • A motivated attitude, a dynamic approach to getting tasks complete, and pride in accomplishment and craftsmanship;
  • Strong ability to work under minimal supervision;
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, engineering, and management;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement. Align boring experience would be an added benefit but not required for this position.

We offer a competitive wage and bonus plan complemented by a comprehensive range of benefits. Wage will vary depending on experience, education and certification. $44.60-$47.25 hourly.
