Position Overview
Located at Kidd Operations’ Kidd Mine and reporting to the Planning & Reliability Coordinator, the Mechanical Planner is responsible for delivering the maintenance strategy by efficiently planning and scheduling maintenance tasks to ensure that the Mine can meet its production targets in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent is also responsible to:
- Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize plant reliability by identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment;
- Process incoming requests for work through to building work packages
- Manage material and external skills requirements to support completion of work
- Collaborate with production resources to schedule equipment availability and to prioritize work
- Support efficient use of materials through maintaining Bills of Material, proposing stock requirements, managing material returns from the field, and utilizing staging areas
- Provides relief coverage for other planner areas as required
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Tradesperson or equivalent workplace experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, operations, engineering, and management;
- Previous experience in planning, scheduling and/or expediting
- Solid software skills with MS Excel, MS Word, CMMS preferably proficient with Mincom Ellipse
- Self starter, independent and driven with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts (Kidd Operations reserves the right to modify working schedules as necessary, in accordance with applicable notice requirements and labor regulations.)

Wage will vary depending on experience, education and certification. Tier level ranges are $47.25 - $53.61 hourly.
