We are seeking a licensed candidate; however, if no licensed candidates are available, qualified apprentices will be considered.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, the suitable candidates’ primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Safe and efficient installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of industrial machinery, electrical systems, controls and ancillary equipment
  • Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize plant reliability
  • Adhering to and promoting all safety policies and procedures
  • Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment
  • Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial (442A) or Construction & Maintenance Electrician (309A); in the absence of licensed applicants, qualified apprentices will also be considered
  • A motivated attitude, a dynamic approach to getting tasks complete, and pride in accomplishment and craftsmanship
  • Adept at troubleshooting, locating, identifying and diagnosing malfunctions
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, engineering, and management
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement
  • Experience with power distribution systems would be a benefit
  • Experience working in an underground environment is considered an asset

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts (Kidd Operations reserves the right to modify working schedules as necessary, in accordance with applicable notice requirements and labor regulations.)


We offer a competitive wage and bonus plan complemented by a comprehensive range of benefits.
Wage will vary depending on experience, education and certification. $45.66-$51.79 hourly.
