About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, Mining, a Mine Engineer or Mine EIT is responsible for working with a group of professionals to support mining operations and utilize digital mining technology to optimize safety, productivity, and environmental sustainability. This role is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to make a positive impact on the business.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Influence strong site decision making through detailed data analysis and sound mining practices
- Identify, deliver and maintain digital mining systems, including fleet management, high precision guidance, geotechnical monitoring and operator safety systems
- Update and maintain equipment files, verify mine performance against production plan and sustainability goals
- Plan, develop, and support solutions to meet the business objectives of the Mine Operations, Engineering, and Operating Excellence departments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geological Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Registered, or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC); EVR will support eligible employees with their EGBC registration
- Strong digital literacy in mining related software
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
- Experience working with CAT MineStar products, Komatsu Modular products, High Precision GNSS solutions, Geotechnical Monitoring solutions, Drill Navigation & Rock Recognition technologies or other related mining systems is an asset
- Experience in PowerBI Analytics/SQL is an asset
- Wenco Dispatch experience is an asset
- Experience in a mining environment; previous experience in open pit, truck and shovel operations is an asset
