Job description
Under the supervision of the HR Systems and Process Superintendent , the Specialist – Process & Database contributes to ensuring the operation, maintenance, and evolution of HR process and data management systems. Their responsibilities include participating in the implementation of development projects, administering HR databases, maintaining integrations between HR systems, developing reports, and providing technical support for HR applications and systems.
His/Her essential functions will include, among others (non-exhaustive list):
• Assist HR Systems and Process in the implementation of development projects.
• Under supervision, ensure the administration and maintenance of HR databases.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of HR system integrations.
• Develop and maintain applications and solutions related to HR processes.
• Develop customized management reports that meet the different needs of HR processes.
• Develop decision-making reports and support tools according to user needs.
• Implement reporting systems to track anomalies related to the integrity of HR data.
• Analyze HR business applications and systems in order to diagnose problems and propose and implement sustainable solutions.
• Provide, when required, direct assistance to end users to help them understand and use HR applications and systems.
• Ensure the follow-up and resolution of submitted tickets.
• To perform any other task or activity assigned by management and within their competence.
Job requirements
Qualifications and experience
• Hold a university degree in information systems, software engineering or in an equivalent field.
• Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in the use or management of enterprise applications.
• Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in software development.
• Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in database development and maintenance.
Technical skills.
• Good command of the Microsoft .NET platform, especially ASP.NET and WinForms (C#, VB).
• Good knowledge of SQL Server, including DB Engine, SSIS and SSRS.
• Knowledge of Power BI or equivalent technologies.
• Good knowledge of Windows, SQL Server and IIS environments.
• Knowledge of web development, including JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, CSS, Bootstrap and HTML5.
• Knowledge of mobile development, particularly Android.
• Ability to continuously stay up-to-date on new application development technologies.
• Proficiency in English and a good understanding of human resources work processes are assets for this position.
