The Role
We are seeking experienced and motivated Construction Operators to join our Fill and Services team. Reporting to the Fill and Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining critical underground mining infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations. 

This residential role is based in Mount Isa and operates on a 7/7 continuous rotating day and night shift roster, allowing you to enjoy the lifestyle benefits of living and working in the local community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Installing, maintaining and repairing underground paste reticulation, ventilation systems and associated infrastructure
  • Completing a range of underground construction activities, including bulkhead construction, stop log installation, concrete pads and civil works, handheld drilling, and service pin installation
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and repair work on underground infrastructure
  • Maintaining high standards of underground housekeeping and proactively managing construction consumables, equipment and materials to minimise waste
  • Carrying out other ancillary underground services work as required
  • Working collaboratively with supervisors and other operational teams to ensure construction and maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with production schedules

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in underground mining
  • A current Australian manual driver's licence
  • The ability to work independently and demonstrate a strong work ethic
  • A commitment to working safely while delivering quality outcomes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • A flexible, adaptable approach with a high level of attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to perform under pressure
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
