Main objectives of the position
Reporting to the General Manager – Supply Chain, the Manager – Inventory Management is responsible for leading the Company's end-to-end inventory management strategy to ensure optimal material availability, inventory accuracy, working capital efficiency, and operational continuity.
The incumbent oversees inventory planning, optimization, replenishment strategies, master data governance, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programmes, rotables management, inventory analytics, KPI reporting, and inventory governance across the business. The role supports operational excellence by driving a structured, data-driven inventory management framework that minimizes supply risks while maximizing inventory performance and cost efficiency.
Minimum qualification
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering Or a related discipline.
Required Experience
- Minimum 8 years' experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, or Supply Chain.
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, manufacturing, or oil & gas is preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE or Pronto.
- Experience with inventory planning, forecasting, optimization, and inventory reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Company's inventory management function.
- Ensure optimal stock availability to support operational and maintenance requirements.
- Develop and oversee inventory planning and forecasting processes.
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives to improve working capital efficiency.
- Manage inventory replenishment strategies and stock policies.
- Oversee inventory master data governance and material standardization.
- Manage Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programmes and supplier inventory partnerships.
- Manage rotables, repair cycles, and exchange pool processes.
- Monitor obsolete, excess, and slow-moving inventory.
- Develop inventory dashboards, KPIs, and management reports.
- Coordinate inventory activities with Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Operations teams.
- Identify inventory risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support ESG, sustainability, and environmental objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's environmental policy.
