The Townsville Port Operations are seeking a Mechanical Maintainer to join their team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the primary purpose of this position is to safely and effectively perform maintenance tasks at the Townsville Port Operations Facilities.
This role requires a self-starting team player, with heavy industry experience and exposure to material handling maintenance work and who is prepared to be involved in all aspects of the operation. You will be responsible for mechanical maintenance of fixed plant equipment and other routine preventative maintenance activities. Licenses in forklift or other mobile plant is preferable.
The nature of these operations in meeting rail and shipping schedules requires the application of various working hours’ arrangements. A performance-based remuneration package commensurate with the applicant’s attributes, experience and qualifications will be discussed at interview.
