Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Job description.
Under the direct supervision of the Reagent Supervisor, the incumbent will be primarily responsible for the operation, monitoring, and optimization of reagent preparation and distribution equipment within the KTC Utility - Reagent department. They will ensure a continuous and compliant supply of reagents required for production processes in the mining sector (copper and cobalt), while strictly adhering to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the equipment, detecting any anomalies, and contributing to the performance and reliability of operations.
His responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare the reagents according to established procedures and production requirements
• Monitor and control pumps, tanks, agitators and reagent transfer systems
• Check the loading points and ensure the proper flow of reagents in the circuits
• Inspect the equipment and identify any anomalies, noises, or malfunctions.
• Unblock the pipes and remove any foreign objects disrupting the flow.
• Monitor tank levels and ensure the continuous availability of reagents.
• Monitor and analyze hourly reagent consumption and compare with actual data
• Collect samples and measure the flow rate parameters of the reagents.
• Monitor safety systems, including emergency stops and machine guards
• Clean the filters, maintain the equipment and perform basic maintenance
• Record production data in checklists and consumption logs
• Report any anomaly or operational risk to the supervisor immediately.
Job requirements.
Qualifications and experience.
• Hold a state diploma in electromechanics, or a 5 years certificate in electromechanics, or an equivalent qualification.
• Have 1 to 2 years of professional experience in a similar position,
• Experience in an industrial or mining environment is an asset
• To be able to express oneself clearly and correctly in French .
Technical skills.
• Proficiency in operating several types of heavy mining equipment;
• open-pit mining methods ;
• Knowledge of material handling processes;
• Basic concepts in heavy equipment mechanics;
• Knowledge of dispatch systems is an asset;
• Good understanding and application of HSE standards.
