Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Under the supervision of the Senior Supervisor Maintenance Electrical Day Crew, the role of the incumbent will be to supervise and coordinate all electrical maintenance activities in underground mines to ensure the availability, reliability and performance of equipment. He/she will ensure the proper execution of preventive and corrective maintenance work while guaranteeing strict compliance with HSE standards. The position involves managing technical teams, optimizing resources and managing complex interventions. He/she will also contribute to the continuous improvement of facilities and the implementation of technical projects. Finally, the incumbent will play a key role in the continuity and safety of mining operations.
He/She will have, among others, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive):
- Ensure the management of HSE security. This includes enforcing and enforcing safety standards, ensuring the implementation of LOTOTO procedures, monitoring the wearing of PPE, analysing incidents and promoting a zero-accident safety culture.
- Plan and execute maintenance of electrical equipment. This includes organising and supervising preventive and curative maintenance activities for MV and LV equipment, ensuring the availability of equipment and ensuring its proper functioning.
- Guarantee the availability and continuity of electrical installations. This includes ensuring equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and ensuring the continuity of mining operations.
- Oversee fault diagnosis and resolution. This includes analyzing failures, coaching teams in diagnosing complex failures, implementing corrective solutions, and reducing repetitive failures.
- Control the quality of the work and the respect of deadlines. This includes verifying the compliance of interventions, ensuring compliance with technical standards and ensuring that the work is carried out on time.
- Ensure that technical documentation is updated. This includes ensuring that any electrical changes are recorded on the plans (paper or digital), keeping diagrams up to date and guaranteeing the traceability of interventions.
- Manage and coordinate the technical teams. This includes organizing the work of the teams, distributing tasks according to skills, supervising the technicians and ensuring an efficient and collaborative work environment.
- Manage resources, spare parts and costs. This includes overseeing the availability of spare parts, optimizing the use of resources, and ensuring effective management of maintenance costs.
- Develop skills and ensure the transfer of know-how. This includes identifying training needs, supporting the development of technical skills and ensuring the development of teams' expertise.
- Participate in technical strategies and improvement projects. This includes contributing to the diagnosis of complex breakdowns, proposing continuous improvement solutions, participating in the commissioning of equipment and managing projects for new installations.
