Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Under the supervision of the Senior Supervisor Maintenance Electrical Fixed Plant, the role of the incumbent will be to supervise, coordinate and optimize mining engineering activities related to underground operations, ensuring the reliability of electrical, ventilation and grounding infrastructure and systems. He/she will ensure the implementation of maintenance strategies, strict compliance with HSE standards and continuity of operations. The position also involves managing technical teams, managing continuous improvement projects and optimizing equipment performance. The incumbent will actively contribute to operational planning and strategic decision-making. He/she will play a key role in the safety and productivity of mining operations (copper and cobalt).
He/She will have, among others, the following essential functions (non-exhaustive):
- Ensure safety and environmental management (HSE). This includes ensuring strict adherence to safety standards, promoting a zero-incident culture, ensuring the application of LOTOTO procedures, controlling the wearing of PPE and ensuring safe interventions in all engineering and maintenance activities.
- Plan and supervise the maintenance of electrical equipment. This includes planning, organising and executing preventive and curative maintenance operations on MV/LV electrical equipment to ensure their availability and optimum performance.
- Ensuring the reliability of grounding and protection systems. This includes regularly checking grounding systems, measuring the resistance of grounding connections, replacing defective or corroded components, and ensuring compliance with electrical protection standards.
- Manage and coordinate the technical teams. This includes supervising, organizing and supervising teams of electricians and technicians, assigning tasks according to skills and clearances, and ensuring optimal use of human and material resources.
- Oversee fault diagnosis and resolution. This includes analyzing complex outages, guiding teams in corrective interventions, reducing downtime, and implementing actions to limit repetitive outages.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies. This includes developing strategies tailored to critical equipment, improving facility performance, and ensuring the continuity of mining operations.
- Contribute to technical and continuous improvement projects. This includes proposing innovative solutions, participating in the commissioning of equipment, validating installations and improving existing technical processes.
- Manage resources and costs. This includes optimizing the use of equipment and spare parts, controlling maintenance costs, and ensuring efficient asset management.
- Ensure communication and operational reporting. This includes exchanging information with internal teams (dispatch, control room, planning), writing technical reports, monitoring performance indicators and communicating the status of equipment.
- Identify and develop the skills of the teams. This includes assessing training needs, supporting the development of technical skills and ensuring the development of expertise of the teams under his or her responsibility.
