Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Job description
Reporting to the General Manager Asset Protection , the incumbent is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of security, safety, and asset protection systems and processes within KCC operations. They ensure the alignment of security operations with HSE standards, the effective management of operational risks, and the consistent application of security systems, procedures, and controls. The incumbent also acts as a technical and operational advisor, liaising between Asset Protection, Security (HSE), and Operations to ensure security risk management is based on a structured, process- and systems-oriented approach.
He/She will have, among other things, the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive):
1. Integration of security risks, safety and processes
• Conduct integrated risk assessments (safety and HSE) and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance of safety processes with KCC HSE standards and international standards (ISO).
• Integrate safety principles ( safety -first) into all operations.
2. Supervision of security systems and technologies
• Supervise and optimize security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms).
• Ensure the proper functioning, maintenance and integration of systems into operations.
• Support the implementation of digital reporting and monitoring tools.
3. Operational support for asset protection
• Supporting the execution of security operations across different sites.
• Ensure the effective deployment of security personnel and service providers.
• Ensure the standardization of procedures (SOPs) and the monitoring of contractor performance.
4. Incident Management and Investigation
• Support the management and investigation of security and HSE incidents.
• Ensure root cause analysis (RCA) and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain a reliable system for reporting and documenting incidents.
5. Process Governance and Continuous Improvement
• Develop, harmonize and improve safety and HSE procedures.
• Ensure consistency between security, HSE and operational processes.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives based on data and trends.
6. Training, awareness and safety culture
• Promote a strong culture of safety and security within the organization.
• Organize and/or support training in safety, emergency response and HSE integration.
• Raise staff awareness of risks and reporting protocols .
Job requirements
Qualifications and experience
• Hold a university degree in safety management, engineering, HSE, risk management or a similar field.
• Holding certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, security risk management or ISO management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 18788, ISO 31000) would be an asset.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of experience in asset protection, security management or industrial security or in an equivalent technical field.
• Having a high level of exposure to high-risk mining or industrial environments as well as to operational safety systems and processes.
• Mastering spoken and written French and English.
• Proven experience in integrating HSE requirements into security operations.
• Having experience in managing contractor security is an asset.
Technical skills.
• Mastering Security Management Systems ( SMS) and their operational implementation.
• Evaluate and analyze safety risks in industrial, mining or high-risk environments.
• Supervise electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection and alarms).
• Apply international safety and risk management standards (ISO 18788, ISO 31000, ISO 45001).
• Conducting incident investigations and performing root cause analyses (RCA) with follow-up of corrective actions (CAPA).
• Develop and optimize security procedures, incident response plans and asset protection devices.

• Adopt a proactive and prevention-oriented approach in identifying and managing security risks.
• Maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability in all operational situations.
• Demonstrate composure and the ability to make effective decisions, even in crisis situations or under high pressure.
• Promote a strong safety culture by positively influencing teams and stakeholders.
