Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Job description.
Under the direct supervision of the Mechanical Supervisor, the incumbent's primary responsibility will be to ensure the optimal operation of the mine processing plant's mechanical equipment (copper and cobalt) while adhering to safety and quality guidelines. They will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment repair, and rigorously monitoring equipment availability. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of workstations and contributing to the continuous improvement of maintenance procedures.
His responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Observe health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements. This includes attending GCOM ( Glencore Communication) meetings before starting the shift, completing work permits according to the current procedure and cleaning the workplace after each task;
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment. This includes carrying out interventions on all equipment according to the program submitted by the supervisor and correcting malfunctions while respecting established operating methods and procedures;
• Provide reports and updates to management. This includes logging interventions carried out, reporting anomalies, and keeping the supervisor informed of the status of equipment;
• Mastering the principles of safe equipment operation. This includes ensuring that all interventions comply with safety rules and the correct operation of machines;
• Assist the supervisor in organizing maintenance work. This includes planning and coordinating interventions, proposing improvements, and optimizing the efficiency of operations;
• Report any obstacles to the execution of the work and suggest improvements. This includes identifying problems encountered during interventions and informing the supervisor to avoid further delays or risks;
• Gather, clean and store tools after each use. This includes keeping tools and equipment clean and in good condition for future use;
• Ensure the quality of the work performed. This includes verifying that repairs and adjustments meet technical standards and ensure the reliability of the equipment;
• Collaborating with other team members. This includes communicating effectively with operators and colleagues, coordinating activities, and ensuring equipment availability;
• Perform all other tasks assigned by the supervisor. This includes responding to emergencies, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and participating in activities critical to plant performance.
Job requirements.
Qualifications and experience.
• Possess a Technician A2 diploma or a 5-year certificate in general mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics;
• Have at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position in industrial or mining mechanical maintenance;
• To have mastery of the French language in both written and spoken form.
• To know and be able to use the equipment under one's responsibility
Technical skills.
• Possessing a thorough knowledge of general mechanics and fitting
• Having a mastery of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Having knowledge of mining equipment such as crushers, cyclones and pumps
• Ability to read and interpret industrial plans and drawings
• Focusing on safety and the quality of interventions
