Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Under the supervision of the Senior Supervisor Dispatch the role of the incumbent will be to manage and optimize the dispatch operations in the open pit in order to maximize production and equipment utilization. He/she will be responsible for the configuration and operation of the Fleet Management System (FMS), as well as coordinating loading and transportation priorities. The position involves real-time monitoring of operational performance and analysis of deviations from the mine plan. He/she will also ensure the reliability of production data and compliance with safety and performance requirements. Finally, he/she will act as a focal point between the different technical and operational teams.
He/She will have, among others, the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive):
- Manage dispatch operations in real time. This includes managing the day-to-day activities of the open-pit mine dispatch, coordinating equipment assignments, monitoring production priorities, and ensuring operational sequences are followed to optimize overall performance.
- Configure and administer the Fleet Management System (FMS). This includes configuring system parameters (roads, priorities, constraints, material types), managing user access, maintaining the database as well as ensuring system availability and reliability.
- Optimize production and equipment utilization. This includes analyzing equipment performance, identifying inefficiencies (cycle time, queues, underutilization), and implementing corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance. This includes real-time monitoring via interval control techniques, identification of deviations from the mine plan, and production of analytical reports for decision-making.
- Coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders. This includes working closely with production, geology, maintenance, planning, IT/OT teams and contractors to ensure consistency of operations and effective communication.
- Supervise, train and develop the dispatch team. This includes coaching, continuous training of system users, skills development and the promotion of a culture of performance, precision and safety.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures. This includes enforcing HSSE policies, participating in incident investigations, adhering to standard operating procedures, and complying with mining regulations.
- Ensure the management and maintenance of dispatch infrastructures. This includes the supervision of communication equipment, GPS systems, network infrastructures and dispatch facilities to ensure their proper functioning.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and business initiatives. This includes identifying optimization opportunities, participating in continuous improvement projects, and supporting cost reduction and productivity initiatives.
- Provide reliable data and analytics for decision-making. This includes collecting, validating and disseminating production data, developing periodic reports, and supporting financial and operational analyses.
