Purpose and objective

Ensure compliance and adherence to Supply Chain processes in the Copper department through the execution of operational reviews, transactional analysis and gap surveys, contributing to the strengthening of operational control, operational discipline and consistency in the application of global policies, standards and procedures, as well as continuous improvement in the performance of the area.

This position could be based on the corporate offices in Antofagasta or Santiago.

 

Technical background, Experience for the role and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Commercial Civil Engineering or related careers.
  • Minimum 5  years of experience in the mining sector performing management control activities, standardization and optimization of processes, monitoring and evaluation of KPIs and appropriate management of relationships with internal and external users.
  • Demonstrated fluency in English and Spanish, both oral and written
  • Proven experience in document review, SAP transactional and compliance gap analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Supply Chain processes in mining (desirable).
  • Knowledge of SAP Advanced ERP (preferably MM module)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Management
  • Advanced Power BI Management
  • Analytical capacity and ability to raise operational gaps.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of information on a massive scale
  • Ability to relate to multiple stakeholders at different hierarchical levels.

 

 

Responsibilities

1.Execute operational reviews on Supply Chain processes in the Copper department.

2. Validate the adherence of real processes against established standards, policies and procedures.

3.Review documentary and transactional evidence SAP and Coupa associated with purchasing processes, contracts, inventories, warehouses, component repair and logistics.

4. Review the consistency and correct application of KPIs and operational controls defined for Supply Chain processes.

5. Ensure compliance with the Contract Management Framework in contractor management, verifying that the responsible areas adequately exercise commercial and contractual control.

6.Carry out budget control and consistency reviews of the expenditure associated with Supply Chain processes.

7.To raise deviations, gaps and opportunities for improvement.

8. Issue recommendations aimed at correcting deviations, improving operational performance and reinforcing compliance with standards.

9.Coordinate with those responsible for the process the definition and implementation of corrective action plans.

10.Monitor the progress and closure of the recommendations issued.

11. Document review results in established formats.

12. Identify operational risks associated with the processes reviewed.

13. Ensure consistency in the application of global standards.

14. Facilitate the updating of procedures when recurrent gaps are identified.

15. Promote operational discipline in the execution of Supply Chain processes by identifying deviations, standardizing practices and reinforcing compliance with defined procedures.

16.Maintain active communication with sites and stakeholders to promote operational discipline, compliance with processes, and consistency in the application of standards.
