Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
KCC SA exploits copper and cobalt ores on a large scale. It includes an underground mine, open-pit mines and integrated metallurgical facilities. The operation has one of the largest copper reserves in the world, with a current life of over 25 years.

Job description
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent will have the primary responsibility of providing leadership, direction, support and guidance in matters of enterprise risk management and insurance, given the particular importance of implementing the enterprise risk management framework at KCC.
He/She will have, among other things, the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive):
• Contribute to the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, ensuring it is aligned with local legislation and adapted to KCC's current maturity level.
• Coordinate, support and govern the implementation of the GRE framework at KCC by ensuring a standardized approach.
• Establish asset risk management teams and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members to build and maintain capacity.
• Support the development and implementation of GRE training and capacity building strategy for KCC in accordance with the overall strategy.
• Provide training, coaching and support to asset management and staff, including risk and control owners.
• Ensure that process security risks are managed appropriately.
• Develop and coordinate the execution of an integrated insurance program at KCC.
• Supporting 2nd and 3rd tier insurance activities, including third-party audits.
Job requirements
Qualifications and experience
• Have a postgraduate university degree in engineering, science, HSE or business and professional development in the field of risk management.
• Have at least 10 years of experience in risk management, engineering, operations and/or health, safety and environmental management in the resources or energy sector; in continuously progressing roles with demonstrated experience in risk management.
• Experience in process safety management and/or copper extraction and processing would be an advantage.
• To be able to communicate in English and French.
Technical skills.
• Risk management : Proficiency in methodologies and tools for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and managing risks
• ERM Frameworks and Standards : In-depth knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks and the ability to apply them in an operational context.
• Process safety management : Understanding the principles and practices related to industrial safety and the specific risks in the mining or energy sector.
• Audit and assurance : Skills in setting up and monitoring quality assurance and internal/external audit programs, including non-conformity management.
• Data analysis : Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making.
• Advanced IT tools : Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables), PowerPoint (clear and professional presentations), and ideally specific risk management software (e.g., SAP Risk Management).
