Kamoto Copper Company Société Anonyme, KCC SA in acronym, is a Congolese company operating in Kolwezi, capital of the province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Job description.
Under the direct supervision of the Section Chief, the Boilermaker will have the role and responsibility of carrying out manufacturing, maintenance and repair work on metal structures and components of mining equipment in the workshop. The position contributes to the efficiency of plant operations by ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of mechanical manufacturing work in a controlled workshop environment or within the plant.
His/Her responsibilities will include, among others (non-exhaustive list):
• Perform the manufacturing, cutting, bending and welding of metal components in accordance with plans and technical specifications.
• Manufacture and repair components such as chutes, hoppers, supports, guards, piping and metal frames/structures used in the factory.
• Use tools such as cutting torches, grinders and welding machines.
• Read and interpret manufacturing plans to ensure accurate and safe construction.
• Take measurements while respecting dimensional tolerances and material specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organized work environment.
• Collaborating with maintenance teams for the manufacturing and repair of components in order to minimize production downtime.
• Carry out pre-manufacturing planning and material identification to improve efficiency.
• Complete the work sheets, manufacturing records and material consumption records.
• Perform the equipment inspection according to the provided checklist.
• Implement temporary repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Strictly adhere to health, safety and environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
Job requirements.
Qualifications and experience.
• Hold a diploma or professional aptitude certificate in general mechanics, boilermaking, welding, or an equivalent qualification.
• Have at least three (3) years of professional experience in the fields of welding and boiler making, in a mining industry;
• Have a mastery of MIG, TIG and arc welding processes.
• Having skills in the use of manufacturing tools and workshop equipment.
• Having the ability to read and interpret technical and manufacturing plans.
• Compliance with safety protocols related to metalworking activities.
Technical skills.
• Having the ability to interpret drawings, quotes/technical drawings/plans etc ;
• Possess excellent welding and manufacturing skills.
• Having good time management skills and the ability to meet manufacturing deadlines .
• Having the ability to understand and implement safe work practices;
• Having knowledge of the basics of mechanics;
• Possess excellent knowledge of material strength, bodywork and surface treatments.
