Its operating headquarters, the center of its main activities, is located about 42 km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

MUMI is hiring a: " Light Vehicle Driver"

Main objectives of the position

Under the direct supervision of the Transport Team Supervisor, the incumbent of this position will operate light vehicles to transport passengers and/or packages to specific locations.

 

Minimum qualification 

  • At least a Brevet d'Aptitude Professionnelle en conduite automobile.
  • Minimum category A, B, and C driving licence or its equivalent.

 

Required Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Light Vehicle driver. 

Required skills

    • Proven experience in driving light vehicles, both on national roads and in built-up areas.
    • Mastery of the Highway Code and the rules of hygiene, health and safety at work.
    • Very good communication in French; mastery of English would be an advantage.
    • Organizational skills for recordkeeping.
    • Mastery of defensive driving

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe use of small vehicles.
  • Support for small vehicles so that they are in good working order.
  • Report to the maintenance team any mechanical problems identified on the vehicle.
  • Managing the environmental impacts of driving
  • Compliance with waste and pollutant management procedures
  • Reporting of environmental incidents
  • Compliance with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures, as well as MUMI SARL's environmental policy.
