About the role
Reporting to the Supervisor HV, you will be responsible for the construction, maintenance and testing of overhead power lines, as well as the routine maintenance of the site street-lighting system.
This is a residential position working a 7 days on / 7 days off, day-shift-only roster.

About the role
Reporting to the Supervisor HV, you will be responsible for the construction, maintenance and testing of overhead power lines, as well as the routine maintenance of the site street-lighting system.

Key responsibilities
- Construct and maintain overhead lines from 415 V to 132 kV.
- Install, maintain and repair the site street-lighting system.
- Complete testing associated with overhead-line construction and maintenance.
- Manage spare parts required to maintain overhead-line systems.
- Maintain statutory records for installations and associated work.
- Comply with all relevant health, safety, environmental and site requirements.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An Electrical Linesperson trade qualification, with the ability to obtain a Queensland electrical licence.
- A current HR manual driver’s licence
- A vehicle-loading crane ticket.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Current EWP ticket.
- Current bucket-truck ticket.
- A current lift/borer ticket, where required.
The following will be highly regarded:
- Experience working with power distribution systems.
- Experience constructing and maintaining LV 240/415 V through to 132 kV overhead lines.
- SAP experience.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian, industry and site standards.
- Experience maintaining statutory records.
- Experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
