Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor - Electrical Hoist and Shaft Assets person. This role will see you become an integral part of team, living and working residentially with a working roster of 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off - 9 hour shift

The Role

We are looking for a Hoisting Electrical Supervisor to join us within the Mining Fixed Plant Maintenance and Operations Team at George Fisher Mine. In this role you will effectively supervise and administer the Hoisting Electrical Maintenance team including contractors, in order to consistently deliver productive and efficient value-added outcomes to the company, all the while maintaining a safe and equal opportunity workplace.

We are looking for an experienced individual for this position, ideally applicants will have over 5 years’ Electrical Fixed Assets experience, hoisting experience being highly advantages, and demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for electrical installations coupled with experience supervising and developing large work teams. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Safety leadership
• Developing a positive team culture in line with Glencore values including mentoring and coaching to build employee role competency
• Development and application of the weekly work schedule
• Providing visible leadership and ensuring compliance to Mount Isa Mines policies
• Responsible for the optimisation of assigned resources and continuous improvement to minimise cost and waste
• Responsible for budget development and adherence to budget
• Team administration

 

You will have the following skillset and attributes:

• Trade Qualification - Electrician
• Previous Supervisor Experience
• Hoisting and Materials Handling Experience will be highly advantages
• Licensed electrician
• 5+ Years Mining Experience
• Leadership Skills
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word and Excel
