We are seeking an experienced Senior HSEC Reporting & Data Analyst to join our Regional HSEC Systems & Assurance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing evolution of HSEC reporting, analytics and digital systems that support safe, sustainable and efficient mining operations across our Australian business. This role is based in Brisbane, working a Monday–Friday roster.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager – HSEC Systems & Assurance, you'll lead the continuous improvement of HSEC reporting systems and development of automated solutions. You will be responsible for the end to end reporting function including ensuring the integrity, accuracy and quality of HSEC data while developing innovative reporting solutions that support informed decision-making across the business. Working across multiple operations, you'll collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to streamline reporting processes, improve data governance and implementing automation

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and continuous improvement of HSEC reporting systems, analytics and governance frameworks.
  • Design and deliver enterprise-level dashboards, reports and advanced analytics using Power BI and other business intelligence platforms.
  • Act as the technical lead for HSEC data management, ensuring the highest standards of data quality, integrity and compliance.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives through the implementation of automation, process optimisation and innovative reporting solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on reporting methodologies, performance metrics and emerging technologies to support business objectives.
  • Oversee corporate, legislative and sustainability reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Collaborate with operational and corporate stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhanced reporting capability and business insight.
  • Partner with system vendors and internal technology teams to deliver system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain reporting standards, governance processes and data management practices across the organisation.
  • Influence and support leadership teams through the provision of meaningful performance insights and data-driven recommendations.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.

 

Required Experience

You are a strategic and solutions-focused professional who thrives on transforming complex data into meaningful business insights. With a strong background in reporting, analytics and systems improvement, you are passionate about leveraging technology to drive performance, improve governance and enable informed decision-making.

You are equally comfortable engaging with frontline operational teams, senior leaders and technical specialists, using your communication and influencing skills to build trusted relationships and deliver successful outcomes.

 

Qualification you should have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in HSEC reporting, business intelligence, analytics or data management within mining, resources, heavy industry or similarly complex environments.
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Excel and enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience leading reporting transformation, automation and digital improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, reporting frameworks, information management and quality assurance principles.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes across diverse operational and corporate environments.
  • Experience developing executive-level reporting and performance dashboards that support strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, complex projects and changing business requirements while maintaining a high standard of delivery.
  • Experience with enterprise HSEC management systems and reporting platforms will be highly regarded.
