The Role
You will be responsible for leadership and supervision of your team and management of multiple tasks across all areas of the business, this position will see you bring people together by encouraging input from key stakeholders, and leading the way with a strong understanding of our vision for the future. You will be a positive driver of change, and have the ability to effectively communicate across all work groups. As a safety leader in our business, you will strive to foster safety citizenship within our business and actively promote and support the Glencore Values.  You will work a 7/7 roster. 

To be the successful candidate you will have, previous supervisory experience, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. A strong proven focus on Reliability and improvements, A sound awareness of the MIM surface lease operations and extensive knowledge of multiple light vehicles makes and models 

Your key responsibilities include: 
  • Responsible for communicating accurate and relevant information and insight to line management on daily performance and against the weekly schedule
  • Responsible for ensuring shift handover is successfully managed
  • Responsible for proactively assessing and providing input and intelligence to asset planning on equipment to improve availability (detailed scoping)
  • Responsible on a daily basis for compliance to the weekly schedule to achieve established KPIs and compliance with forecast costs
  • Responsible for providing visible leadership and ensuring compliance to GFM policies, standards and procedures for the Maintenance Services team
  • Responsible for the optimization of assigned resources and continuous improvement to minimize cost and waste
The successful applicants will have:
  • Trade Qualified
  • S1,2,3
  • Thorough knowledge of asset maintenance methodologies
  • Working knowledge of contemporary equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in Light Vehicle Repair Industry
  • 5 years underground mining experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for mining operations
  • Experience supervising and developing large work teams to deliver business outcomes
